Melanie Brennan serves as a Case Manager and Damages Expert for MalcolmDubato.

As a Certified Life Care Planner [CLCP], Ms. Brennan completes extensive case file reviews; performs in-depth client interviews; conducts home visits; prepares medical case management correspondence to treating providers and medical experts to determine future medical needs; conducts research for cost analysis; and prepares formal Life Care Plan reports. Ms. Brennan possesses experience working on cases for catastrophically injured adults and children, with conditions including but not limited to: birth injury, developmental delay, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, neurological injury, amputation, orthopedic injury, chronic pain, and psychiatric/psychological trauma.

As a Maryland Registered Rehabilitation Service Practitioner [#N0213] with the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission and a Certified Case Manager [CCM], Ms. Brennan performs Initial Medical-Vocational Assessments and provides medical case management services to injured workers. She has developed and implemented Medical Case Management and Vocational Rehabilitation Plans for workers’ compensation claimants with complex medical issues. She possesses experience reviewing plaintiff’s employment files, education history, and wage/tax documentation; conducting in-depth vocational interviews of plaintiffs; completing labor market research; and utilizing the labor market research to prepare Vocational Expert Opinion reports.

Ms. Brennan is a Certified Disability Management Specialist [CDMS] with extensive experience helping clients to understand and access their healthcare and health and disability insurance benefits, as well as navigate and resolve difficulties with complicated disability and health systems, such as but not limited to: Social Security Disability Insurance [SSDI], Short- and Long-Term Disability, Accident and Indemnity Insurance, Medicare, Medical Assistance, private health plans, and complex hospital and healthcare delivery systems.
